Why We Use Digital Radiography
Integrative medicine, just like traditional medicine, requires a definitive diagnosis before treatment can be recommended and administered. One of our tools for making a diagnosis is digital radiography. A dramatic improvement on film X-ray, digital X-ray enables our team to view the bones, joints, heart, and lungs in sharper detail. We can see more, and this gives us a better chance of catching an underlying issue.

We Also Offer Dental Radiography
Our practice has a dental radiography unit that allows us to check for oral problems hidden under the gum line and in the teeth and surrounding bone. Dental disease, abscesses, tooth resorption, and other issues can be diagnosed with the help of our dental X-ray equipment.
Ultrasound
Pet ultrasound provides us with an additional layer of testing, one that can reveal conditions not visible via X-ray. The soundwaves produced by our ultrasound equipment give us the ability to view the abdominal organs in real time. We can assess their function and note changes such as:

Live Blood Analysis
A live blood analysis is another tool we can use to diagnose a variety of diseases in dogs and cats. Unlike many other blood tests, the live blood analysis can reveal imbalances, which in turn may indicate an increased risk for illness. To perform a live blood analysis, we need to view a sample of living blood (as it behaves inside the body) through a microscope. By combining this test with other, traditional lab tests, we can obtain more information about your pet’s condition.
